New pharmacological Erectile Dysfunction (ED) Treatments are
being reported in large and well-conducted trials in top medical
journals.
Treatment for ED Erectile Dysfunction include a drug
named alprostidil which require injections at the base of the
penis. It is very effective in the Treatment of ED. Other Drugs for
Erectile Dysfunction (ED) Treatment are sildenafil citrate
otherwise known as Viagra, tadalafil known as Cialis and
Levitra. These ED Drugs are inhibitors that relax glands and
muscle tissue and works by enhancing the effects of one of the
chemicals the body normally releases into the penis during
sexual arousal. This allows an increase of blood flow into the
penis. The new
Erectile Dysfunction ED Treatments are
effective but delivery systems have been complicated. The idea
of injections brings tears to the eyes of many, but a pill ? - Now
you're talking. This is why Cialis, Levitra and Viagra have
become very popular drugs in the Treatment of ED Erectile
Dysfunction. Currently, virtually any man who wishes to have
Erectile function can obtain it, regardless of the underlying
cause of his problem. Many reasonable treatment options exist.
Your first step is to find a well-trained and compassionate
doctor who is willing to take the time to fully discuss the
treatments and drugs available to you.

Future Treatments for Erectile Dysfunction focus on providing
drugs that are more effective, work rapidly, and have fewer, if
any, side effects than currently available Erectile Dysfunction ED
Treatments. Currently there are three oral drugs available to
treat Erectile Dysfunction - Cialis, Levitra and Viagra. A number
of pharmaceutical companies are researching new Treatments
for ED, and many new options may be just around the corner.
These include: Uprima, Topiglan, Avanafil, Melanocortin
activators, and Gene Therapy. Uprima (apomorphine) comes in
a tablet form that dissolves under the tongue. Uprima works by
stimulating the brain chemical dopamine, which heightens
sexual interest and sensations. A small number of people
passed out after taking Uprima, so its release in the U.S. is on
hold; however, it is currently available in Europe. Erectile
Dysfunction Treatment clinical trials are also currently being
conducted on a nasal spray form of this drug. Topiglan is still
under investigation which is a cream applied to the penis and
uses the same drug (alprostadil) that is used in injection therapy
and suppository therapy. Avanafil is the newest inhibitors
currently showing promise in clinical trials for the Treatment of
Erectile Dysfunction. Unlike the current oral medications for the
Treatment of Erectile Dysfunction like Levitra, Viagra or Cialis,
this one may be able to be taken twice daily for people who
want to have intercourse more than once a day. Further studies
are underway. Melanocortin activators are drugs that appear to
act through the brain's central nervous system. Initial Erectile
Dysfunction Treatment studies in humans suggest that the drug
(PT-141) can be effective if administered through the nose in
men with mental rather than physical causes of ED. Larger
Erectile Dysfunction Treatment studies will be necessary to
demonstrate the safety and overall effectiveness of these drugs.
Gene therapy treatment would deliver genes that produce
products or proteins that may not be functioning properly in the
penile tissue of men with Erectile Dysfunction. Replacement of
these proteins results in improvement in erectile function.
Experimental models demonstrated improvement in erectile
function with gene therapy but gene therapy treatment may take
a long time for regulatory approval and public acceptance.
